[attr="class","lars"] pokemon tag words 401 notes oh snap HELLO CACTURNE | He’d already gone deeper into the swirling, howling grit when he thought he heard someone calling out to him. Turning around on the spot, he squinted through the goggles and thought he was actually seeing things.
Wait a second. Why the hell is there snow in this mess? He thought, changing track and heading towards where an unmistakable blizzard was swirling through the area. Before he could approach the source of the frost, a loud noise caught his attention before his center of gravity suddenly shifted and he’d been unceremoniously tripped by the source of the loud noise.
“Let me get back to you on that,” he called out, shifting his attention to the offending Pokémon—and almost did a double-take. Had his chance at redemption finally come? He couldn’t believe it.
Hoping that his luck wasn’t going to be extremely foul, he quickly pulled out a Pokéball at random and tossed it forward, watching as a massive shape appeared from its depths in a flash of red light—and knew he chose well. “Ro, handle it! Don’t overdo it, though. I’m taking it,” he said in the Metang’s direction, who let out a grating noise that sounded like cackling before charging forward, using its Psychic in an attempt to incapacitate it.
Although, that didn’t go too well as he’d realized a split-second later that Cacturne were part-Dark type.
“Ro, don’t use your Psychic moves! Stick to your Steel-type moves!” he added a few moments later, and the Metang shifted gears, before unleashing a series of Bullet Punches at the dual-type, who’d lashed back with a Spiky Shield, making things rather complicated.
“You’re smarter than this, Ro, be careful,” he added, finally managing to get up and turn his attention to the little centralized hailstorm that was blowing through the area. Hoping that he wasn’t seeing things, he saw the outline of an individual, before noticing that there was a shape that was approaching the other from behind. “Careful, you’re about to get snuck up on!” he shouted over the howling grit, turning back to look over at his Metang who’d just finished wrapping up the battle with the Cacturne; having unloaded a point-blank Meteor Mash attack in the dual-type’s face.
It didn’t take long before he pulled out a blank Pokéball and tossed it at the collapsed Cacturne, watching as it was sucked up into the beam of red light…
Capturing the Cacturne!
